Peg Table Loom, 2016
This loom is a custom collaboration between Cynthia Alberto, founder and director of Weaving Hand, and Eric Edgin, designer and woodworker. Historically, weaving was done ceremoniously within tight knit communities; the PegTable Loom imitates the feeling of sitting down at a dining table and encourages conversation. This is a participatory loom where everyone has a hand at weaving and tapestry weaving techniques such as ryaknot, interlocking and vertical stripes are introduced. / Materials: Oak Wood
